I see the landscape as constructions of layers.
Each layer in these Monoprints represents a specific type of construction, from the natural to the human-made.
The layers are imprints of found objects collected during my walks.
These are my interpretations of the landscape I walk in
– interpretations of observations while being present in this landscape
– being present while being active.
The landscape depicted is Hampstead Garden Suburb in north London,
once called a social and architectural experiment.
This is a place that all my first term MA projects evolved around.
The observations were made while walking within its streets and parks
– constructions and movement, interwoven with past and present.
