Printed fabric
combination of screenprint and digital print
made into roman blinds
Uni project, 2019

With the aim to create attention to endangered species
specifically in Scotland, I developed this printed fabric.
I created a focus group consisting of four species
and further concentrated on the moth
'Dark Bordered Beauty'.

The digital print is a pattern made up of the contour lines found at Crathes – one of the very few places this moth's presence has been recorded.
The screenprinted pattern shows the beautiful moth with
its intricate markings (stating that it fully lives up to its name).
I also included a QR-code which enabled people to retrieve information about the endangered species depicted.
You can place your phone with the camera activated
above the QR-code below, and the info will appear.

Screenprint
on cotton fabric
made into a wall hanging piece
Uni project / introduction to Screenprinting 2017

The inspiration to this wall hanging piece,
with a twice-repeated pattern,
came from beautiful Marimekko patterns
and the view from Hatch in Aberdeen
looking down onto Belmont Street
– my favourite Aberdeen street –
with a symphony of granite hooses.
A typical Aberdeen view.

Editorial design
'ScanDeen'

A Uni project from 2019, ScanDeen was an article I wrote
about Scandinavian Interior Design, featuring my own home in Aberdeen.
As a graphic designer, editorial design was one of my favourite areas of design.
That combined with my love for interior (heavily influenced by Scandinavian
mid-century design) called out for a project I thoroughly enjoyed creating.
